Panasonic Factory Automation Unveils Robotic Arc Welding System
Panasonic Factory Automation Company has introduced the PerformArcª 175
series, a new member of the PerformArc family of pre-assembled, robotic arc
welding systems that handle most welding applications.
Designed on a common mounting platform with forklift access for easy handling, the PerformArc 175 series features a six axis arc welding robot. The system's fully integrated robot controller is serially interfaced with a high-performance Panasonic 350 amp artificially intelligent inverter power supply. Computer controlled monitoring of the welding arc yields arc stability and welding performance using low cost 100 percent CO2 shielding gas.
Other benefits include heavy payload/high-speed/electrically-driven recipicator with a 200 kg AC servo dice positioner headstock/tailstock mounted onto the positioner. Additionally, safety features are programmed within the PLC master control to prevent the potential of over riding safety checks. Multiple photoelectric eyes, perimeter guarding - including entry gates, control operator access to the work area to assure operator safety.
Most equipment comes pre-wired and pre-assembled in a compact cell, which is installed directly onto the production floor. Little assembly is required. Unlike other pre-engineered systems that can take days to assemble and transport to the right location, the PerformArc 175, which can be configured to specific requirements, can be up and running within hours.
