Ray Evernham and Jeremy Mayfield to do Autograph Signing in Pratt Burnerd America’s Booth
Ray Evernham, owner of Evernham Motorsports, and Jeremy Mayfield, who will pilot the Number 19 Dodge Dealers Intrepid R/T in 2002, will be signing autographs in Pratt Burnerd America’s booth #809 at South-Tec® 2002 in March.
Evernham Motorsports uses Pratt Burnerd chucks on all their CNC and standard engine lathes in their shop.
Building race cars is challenging due to tight tolerances and small batch quantities. Evernham Motorsports uses the Pratt Burnerd Quick Change (QC) Jaw Power Chucks on their CNC machines. These chucks save them approximately 20 minutes per jaw change, and they receive the high accuracy, which is required to fly around the race track at speeds nearing 200 mph.
The Pratt Burnerd chuck is also counter balanced for high speed turning even when gripping thin wall components.
“Stop by Pratt Burnerd America’s booth and meet Ray and Jeremy,” said a Pratt Burnerd spokesman. “At the same time, you can learn how to reduce machine setup time.”
