WinWare Releases CribMaster 4.3 Inventory Management Software

WinWare Inc., announces its latest software release, CribMaster 4.3. CribMaster is an all-inclusive inventory control system that improves manufacturers' ability to distribute and track tools and other supplies with accuracy and confidence. The Windows-based software, developed specifically for the manufacturing industry, uses bar coding to tie fast and reliable toolcrib transactions to a powerful system of inventory control.

CribMaster's flexibility means it fits the needs of manufacturers of any size, whether using an attended toolcrib, automated storage or a combination of both. The CribMaster system monitors tool inventory and usage, tracks consumption and budget, issues purchase orders either automatically or manually and includes more than 150 standard reports tied directly to the database. An option with CribMaster 4.3 is the Preventive Maintenance Module, which adds a work order system that automates scheduling and tracking of maintenance and repairs to assets.

CribMaster 4.3 includes new features that propel it to another level. Like most of WinWare's software upgrades, these changes came from user response. Some of the features include:

Ą Custom fields support drop down choices from tables of valid values entered by user

Ą Retrieve bin--The Bin context menu now contains a retrieve selection which will bring the bin if the crib is an appropriate dispenser type crib i.e. Maverick, Sentinel, Shuttle.

Ą Employee craft codes are now available for non-preventative maintenance customers. Craft codes are used in conjunction with issue item limits.

Ą Issue item limits--an optional feature to impose limits on the number of items that can be issued to an employee in a time period

Ą CmServer runs in systray--no longer putting a window on the taskbar--it has it's icon in the systray next to the clock. Right-click on the icon to get a menu.

Ą Event log--will carry notification of events for a short period of time (the messages are deleted after 90, 30, 7 or 3 days depending on the type of message.) Under View--choose Event Log.

Ą Satellite stocking now available for reworked items--An Order Now quantity is now computed for reworked bins which allows them to be used with satellite stocking. The send items to rework function still uses the pending rework quantity for bins and ignores the Order Now quantity (just like always).

Ą Auto-purchase options--skip the auto purchase feature (including the automatic satellite stocking function) on Saturday and or Sunday. The start of the CmServer daily processing can be delayed until a chosen hour 0-23.

Ą ATR toolbox shelves can be flipped so that drawer one is on top or drawer one is on the bottom

Ą Additional order information is displayed on the bin--order information tab to help understand some ordering situations

Ą PO print count is now maintained to record how many times a PO has been printed. There is an optional version of the PO report shipped that prints the word Reprint on any PO that has been printed more than once.

Ą Security loophole closed--Users not able to give a permission that they do not have.

Ą Employee badge number is added as an alternative ID number
