Wellsaw Offers Large Capacity Miter Saw
An extended head version of the
model 1316S is now available from Wellsaw. The 1316S EXT will cut 18.5" wide at
90°, 18.5" at 45°, and 14.5" at 60°. The height capacity is 13 inches.
"We can now offer large capacity miter sawing in a small saw price range. This puts large capacity sawing within reach of more shops," stated a company spokesperson.
According to a company spokesperson, the saw will cut a 12" beam at 45°.
The saw comes standard with an eight gallon flood coolant system and a full surround chip pan. Other standard features include a worklight and a 5 ft. infeed roller conveyor. To ensure accurate cutting, the saw has been upgraded to use a 1-1/4 inch blade, the spokesperson said. This model has 3 HP blade motor and variable bandspeed.
"The saw has a unique design because it supports the stock on both sides of the blade regardless of the angle of cut. This helps to make very square cuts and substantially reduces the burr. The saw head assembly pivots in a heavy base on two large, sealed ball bearings. This rugged design ensures that no accuracy is lost even when cutting at extreme angles and provides a long service life," said Greg Spicer, sales manager at Wellsaw.
