The Benchtron is designed with a "plug and play" work table that is easily set up and maintained. The cartridge filters remove 99.9% of particulates 0.50 micron size or larger. The cartridge filters are self-cleaning using shop compressed air.
According to the company, the unit is guaranteed to meet OSHA compliance requirements for respirable dust down to .05 mg/m3. Suction velocities are from 150 to 800 feet per minute. The units fit well into cells or modular manufacturing operations when compared to large centralized collectors. Custom sizes units are available to fit a company's application.
The Filter 1 Hydrotron works a little differently than some dust collectors. The dust is immediately wetted reducing the risk of fire in the ductwork. The work stations are cooled by water evaporation. The Regain Air Curtain in front prevents dust from escaping the grinding zone. "Hydrotron units meet NFPA standards for aluminum and titanium dust removal," said Don Jacks, of Jacks Associates.
