"Operator's can now insert an oil filter to be crushed, set the timer and walk away," said a Newstripe spokesperson. "The FilterFlat will automatically shut off when the crushing cycle is complete. 24,000 pounds of force can reduce 9 inch filters to less than 2 inches in 45 seconds. A drain hose directs removed oil to a separate waste container of your choice. The FilterFlat easily connects to shop air and can be set on a workbench or table.
"Priced less than $999.00, the FilterFlat can reduce the cost of filter disposal by 80%. In a matter of seconds it converts used oil filters from EPA hazardous material into recyclable metal and oil.
