has introduced the Flowtron AC-10 Air Cleaner. "The Flowtron AC-10 is designed
with 'low-cost' in mind," said a company spokesperson. "From maintenance to
energy usage, the AC-10 provides customers an operational, low-cost, air quality
solution.
"The AC-10 is used in open areas where dust from welding, grinding and finishing is being generated. The AC-10 is also used in many different areas where source captivation of the welding fume or dust is not practical. A moving ceiling of high velocity air over a worker's head whisks the fume and dust away and is carried to the particulate collector (air cleaner) where the particulate is captured onto a large capacity nano-fiber cartridge. The Sonic Resonating Rapper (SRR) later removes the particulate. This removal cleans the cartridges and deposits contaminants into a bucket for later disposal, thus maintaining longer filter life and overall performance of the AC-10.
"The nano-fiber cartridges give the AC-10 an air quality efficiency of 99.9%, even at start up. Nano-fiber is the latest development in the technology of particulate capture and release. The outer laminate of 0.4 micron nano-fibers prevent the 0.5 micron particles from penetrating into the media. There are three different models available to fit the configuration of building and welding being done. The models are the AC-10, AC-6 and the AC-4."
