"AER Control Systems has developed and introduced a lower cost alternative for capturing contaminants generated from manufacturing processes," said a company spokesperson. "The PFC 1000 can be used for a variety of processes that generate dust, fume, smoke or odor. The PFC 1000 comes standard with a first stage metal mesh filter and either a 164 sq. feet of 80/20 polyester blend cartridge or a washable spun bond cartridge. The unit is equipped with a single-phase, 1 HP motor with a non-overloading direct drive blower. The unit also comes with a toolless filter access door and a 6" x 7' arm. The PFC is designed with the ability to add or use different types of filter media and combinations, specific to a user's application. "In addition to the PFC 1000 unit, AER has also developed the AER Powered Bench Downdraft Tables, ranging in size of 42" x 50" up to 48" x 102". The tables are designed to provide cost-effective control of dust, smoke, fume and gas contaminants generated by a variety of manufacturing and process applications. The APB tables can be used for grinding, polishing and dry buffing. The self-cleaning system can be either manual or automatically controlled. The AER Power Bench will help users comply with local OSHA regulations by drawing contaminants away from the operator's breathing zone. Table top air velocities are a minimum of 250 FT/Min," said the spokesperson. Standard
