Tribco's 100% Kevlar fiber composite lining for industrial brake and clutch plates, brake pads and shoes lasts three to five times longer than old-style asbestos, sintered bronze and molded graphitic facing, the company said. Linings are non-abrasive, won't score or wear down opposing, metal surfaces, thereby cutting maintenance costs and reducing downtime. Asbestos-free Braketex takes heavier loads, is more heat resistant in heavy-duty applications and abusive service, and engages more smoothly. Patented as Braketex and Clutchex, linings are suitable for wet and dry brakes, clutches, power transmissions and PTOs.
