LEE LINEAR Offers Emergency Maintenance Service

LEE LINEAR, a manufacturer of world-class linear motion components, now offers emergency service, which is intended to provide high quality LEE products at greatly reduced lead times.

"The breakdown of a key linear component can cost thousands of dollars in lost production revenue," said a spokesperson. "Depending on the particular part that needs to be replaced, LEE's emergency service can reduce the standard lead-time for linear components from two to four weeks to less than a week. Often, a customer will call with an emergency service order in the afternoon, and by evening, LEE's custom-manufactured part is completed and on its way.

"This emergency service is the result of a recognized industry need. When an emergency service inquiry is received, a LEE representative will take the order. The entire process, from scheduling through manufacturing, inspection and delivery is performed under LEE's stringent internal procedures."

A change to the LEE production schedule to accommodate an emergency service order does not change the company's dedication to quality. "All LEE LINEAR products are subject to the same in-process and attention to ensure that each part meets the customer's needs, regardless of delivery time," said Vice President Jim Ashworth. "No other manufacturer offers emergency service at this level. To supply the linear motion components our customers need when they need it, we work overtime and even on weekends. It is all part of LEE's ongoing commitment to providing value added benefits."
