"The
Benchtron BFP is a complete, self-contained dust collector workstation with a
small footprint," said a company spokesperson. "Designed to handle various types
of fine dust, as well as welding smoke and fume, the BFP packs in a multi-stage
filtration system together with dual source capture - downdraft plus backdraft.
The open table design easily accommodates one or more workers.
"Standard benches are 30" deep by 4 feet, 5 feet, and 6 feet wide. In addition, custom sizing is available. The Benchtron BFP Series uses standard industrial panel filters with a wide range of media to effectively handle various types of dust and contaminants. Also, the choice of intake grilles includes fiberglass, grated steel, galvanized, rubber, plastic or perforated plate.
"Standard disposable panel filters are simple to replace, saving time and money. Monitoring gauge indicates when filters need to be changed.
"With freedom of movement for the operator (no arms or hoses to adjust), the Benchtron BFP is designed with front overhang and toe space for close-up tasks. Compact design with open access on three sides accommodates one or more workers.
"The high-efficiency blower wheel, combined with the best new technology filter medias, creates a very low pressure drop, resulting in outstanding flow and velocity, with the lowest possible energy cost. In addition, the BFP recirculates filtered, tempered air, saving on heating and cooling costs.
"The Benchtron is a self-contained, compact unit, with no compressed air piping, is easy to move and easy to adapt: various types of media filters may be used and are easily changed out for different applications; in addition, air flow is adjustable from low velocity (100 fpm) for applications such as welding, to high velocity (400 fpm) for applications such as grinding."
