Camfil Farr Introduces Updated "Gold Series" Package (GSP) Dust Collector

      Camfil Farr offers an updated line of "Gold Series" Package (GSP) cartridge dust collectors that combine enhanced performance features with ease of service.

      Camfil Farr's new "Gold Series" Package collector is powder-coated both inside and out to protect against scratching and corrosion, resulting in a more durable finish than wet-painted collectors. Since its introduction last year, the Gold Series line has enjoyed rapid acceptance because it improves upon the key benefits of cartridge collection - high filtration efficiency, excellent energy performance, and long element life - while also incorporating heavy 10-gauge construction, maintenance-friendly service features, and easy cartridge changeout.

      The Gold Series Package collector also delivers premium performance, due to an innovative, patented inner cone that adds 50 percent more filter media area to each cartridge. This new "Gold Cone" cartridge has enabled Farr to meet airflow requirements with a 25 percent smaller housing that a typical cartridge collector - while reducing can velocity, improving cleaning action and lowering overall pressure drop.

      Gold Series Package collectors feature a modular design for optimum field flexibility. Each module accommodates airflows up to 5,400 cfm using four cartridges mounted in a symmetrical frame. Additional modules may be added to meet total airflow requirements of 100,000 cfm and beyond.

      Cartridges are vertically mounted to shed dust readily for efficient cleaning and longer service life. Cleaning is accomplished by pulse waves that emanate outward from the injection-molded inner cone in the center of the cartridge. Test results indicate that this new pulse distribution method provides enhanced cleaning for more efficient operation, longer cartridge life and reduced service requirements. Used cartridges are fully incinerable because the only steel component - a top pan held to the cartridge with clips - is easily removed at changeout time.
