OKK's new VP9000
Vertical Machining Center is suited for die-mold machining. It combines the
travels of 44.09" x 36.22" x 22.05" (X,Y,Z) and a 20,000 rpm 30HP double contact
CAT40 spindle.
Smooth machining is achieved at 1260 ipm by utilizing fine-pitched ball screws and oversized high-load cross-roller guides mounted to a cast iron base. The machining center can sustain work pieces up to 3,300 lb.
Core chilled, large diameter ball screws and OKK's Soft Scale II are employed for thermal stability. Static accuracies are .00008" positioning and .00004" repeatability. Standard features include a full enclosure and two coil conveyors to help contain and move the chips to the rear of the machine.
