PVCSTAR Feedscrew Package for Injection Molding Machines

ServTek's new PVCSTAR injection molding feedscrew package provides the armor needed to win the battle against screw corrosion and material burning/build-up when processing PVC and CPVC. Encased in a ceramic corrosion force field that protects substrate material 20 times longer than typical chrome plating, the PVCSTAR package puts an end to costly re-chroming and removal/replacement downtime that eat away at productivity and profits. 

The PVCSTAR package consists of ceramic-protected screw, smear-head tip and end cap. The coating resists damaging chloride in the plastics that can infiltrate plating microcracks and blister chrome plating, causing damage to the unprotected screw substrate. While double and triple chrome plating processes fail to cover up all imperfections in plating sublayers, the advanced ceramic coating completely fills all microcracks and chemically bonds plating to the substrate. This provides a smoother surface and better lubricity for more effective processing, increased burn resistance and easier cleaning.
