Okuma Offers Superior Finish Quality with MD-45VAE VMC for Die/Mold Machining

      Okuma America Corporation offers its latest die/mold specific vertical machining center - the MD-45VAE - with a high-speed HSK spindle and contour-shaping CNC software.

      The MD-45VAE is a high-performance vertical machining center that offers a 20 hp/35,000 rpm spindle - which develops full horsepower from 750 rpm X-axis travel is 30 in.; Y-axis travel is 18.11 in., while Z-axis travel is 17.72 in. Rapid feed rate for X- and Y-axes is 1,417 ipm, while Z-axis rapid feed rate is 1,181 ipm. The table size is 39.4 x 18.11 in.

      In addition, the MD-45VAE features Okuma designed and built drive motors. The 20-station ATC (32-and 48-tools optional) provides a 1.5 second tool-to-tool change time and the OSP control oversees all machining operations. Super Hi NC software assists in improved surface and shape qualities demanded by the die/mold industry.

      Okuma continues its value-added offerings by introducing the True Blue Preventive Maintenance Program, which provides free scheduled maintenance for two years - and virtually eliminates unscheduled downtime - in addition to the 12 month machine warranty.
