LVD Strippit's VT-Series of thin turret tooling
style 30 metric ton CNC turret punch presses are rugged, full-featured machines
with a large, 40-station turret and sheet carrying capacity up to 60" x 98.4"
(1524 x 2500mm). VT-Series punch presses provide fast set-up and reliable
operation for consistent performance in high production applications, said the
company.
"Strippit VT-Series machines are built on a heavy-duty, stress-relieved frame that provides stability for precision punching, and reduces noise, shock and vibration to maximize machine and tooling life. Combined with an advanced table positioning system, this rugged frame design achieves finished part accuracy of ±.004" (0,10mm) with a repeatability of ±.002" (0,05mm) over the entire table," said a company spokesperson.
"Available in two 30-ton configurations, Strippit VT models punch materials up to .250" (6,35mm) with a maximum hit rate of 1000-HPM at 0.04" (1mm) pitch.
"Programmable relocatable work clamps and programmable parts chute reduce set-up time and operator intervention. The patented Smart Stroke feature automatically calculates the optimum hover height for every stroke of the ram, for greater productivity. Smart Clamp, another standard feature, automatically determines exact clamp locations to provide the smallest possible no punch zones.
"The Strippit VT's hydraulic ram permits electronic adjustments that take advantage of its intuitive control interaction. The operator interacts with a single graphic screen that provides tool images to aid in selection. The user can apply custom settings or alterations to stroke elements such as depth offset, dwell and ram speed to further maximize machine capabilities.
"Strippit VT-Series punch presses feature a 40-station Thin-style turret with four standard 3.5" (88,9mm) auto-index stations and four 2" (50,8mm) fixed stations.
"The new 2" (50,8mm) mid-size tool stations further increase the productivity and versatility of the machine as they enable the use of larger diameter tools and form tools without sacrificing the large 88,9mm diameter stations.
"The auto-index stations accommodate a variety of indexable multi-tools, further enhancing turret capacity and flexibility while minimizing set-up requirements.
"The VT turret features hardened steel guide bushings for accurate punch and die alignment. Bushings can be quickly and easily replaced, eliminating the need for costly re-machining of the turret.
"VT punch presses accept wheel tooling for quick and efficient cutting or forming of straight or curved shapes without nibbling. They also employ part-marking technology for part number or sheet marking requirements and can utilize tapping tools.
"Strippit VT machines are equipped with a world-class GE Fanuc 180i CNC control. The control allows the machine operator to edit, input or output programs during machine operation to reduce set-up and improve productivity.
Optional CADMAN programming software package offers a complete, integrated solution to prepare offline programs for punching, laser cutting and bending.
"Strippit VT-Series punch presses can be further enhanced with the addition of an automatic load/unload device or pick-sort robotic material handling system," the spokesperson said.
