Koike Aronson Offers the Edge-Cut

Koike Aronson has developed an oxy-fuel cutting machine that performs single or double V-Grove on a plate edge without the need for track or rails, said the company.

"Designed in cooperation with the ship building industry to meet the need for simple, yet effective plate edge preparation, the Edge-Cut performs high quality single or double bevels without the need for a track or rail. Previous machines required the use of expense and difficult to set up track or rail for bevel cuts," said a company spokesperson.

"Now, V-Grooves essential to full penetration welds, can be performed with just one pass. The Edge-Cut bevels the plate edge top and bottom up to 45 degrees without the need for a track. Ease of setup and constant speed ensure high quality cutting even during long distant cutting. The Koike Snap Valve allows pre-setting of flames to reduce setup time while reducing gas waste.

"This highly portable machine weighs only 26 1/2 lbs and can also be used with 6 foot extendable track for more conventional cutting. The Edge-Cut can also be adapted to cut circles while beveling. In addition Koike warranties the torches for life against a damaging sustained flashback while using genuine Koike cutting tips," the spokesperson said.
