AIRAM Expands Manufacturing Facility

AIRAM Press Co. Ltd., has announced that the press manufacturer has completed expansion of its Covington, OH based facility. The facility, shared with AIRAM's sister company, Concept Machine & Tool Inc., now totals 22,000 square feet and is climate controlled, said and AIRAM spokesperson. "The added space will allow AIRAM to house larger machinery and assembly equipment to support production of bigger press orders the company is receiving. AIRAM has also installed a new 20-ton overhead crane," said the spokesperson.

"The expansion will also allow us to reduce delivery time," said Fred Ratermann, president of AIRAM, "and we've been able to enhance the flexibility we provide to customers. In addition to custom engineered models, we can provide solutions that include placing three presses on a common bed. Each press can be cycled to perform a different task. Tooling changeover is eliminated and capital equipment investment reduced since this configuration is able to take the place of one large press."
