"Boasting extra heavy headstocks ranging from 8.6-inch, 12.6-inch or 14.2-inch spindle bores, the TUR930MN/CNC lathes feature a heavy, durable spindle supported by two taper roller bearings reinforced by a massive single-cast headstock frame with heavily ribbed support walls. The higher dynamic spindle bearing rating offers enhanced precision and rigidity for heavy loads and superior surface finish, while adjustable taper roller bearings mounted close to the front and rear spindle noses produce greater accuracy. Critical machining of pipe work supported by the front and rear chucks benefit from the improved rigidity made possible by an unusually thick-walled spindle. Symmetrically assembled spindle bearings evenly transfer heavy axial and radial loads. For increased durability and resilience to wear, headstock shafts and gears are made of heat-treated alloy steel that has been hardened and ground.

"Now available with bed lengths ranging from 78-inch to 236-inch bc, the TUR930MN/CNC Lathe feature the renowned HACO 24.4-inch wide TRI-V bedway, utilizing special extra-large V-ways to boost accuracy, rigidity and repeatability in difficult turning and boring applications while extending the lathe's life and protecting it against instability and wear. A wider continuous duty horsepower range starting at a low 50 RPM of spindle is powered by choice of world-class FANUC or SIEMENS infinitely variable AC digital drive and is equipped with a 2-range auto-shifting headstock as standard. Also standard on all models is a thread repair cycle. A separate lubrication unit, powered by its own motor and monitored by CNC controller, lubricates the headstock's gears and bearings. For service simplification, the encoder is installed outside of the headstock. Also NEW, the TUR930MN/CNC features a unique HD boring bar attachment with right hand rail, specially designed for handling large diameter long bars with dual slide support.
