Kitamura's Mycenter-HX250iF Horizontal Machining Center offers a maximum workpiece size of 13.8 x 15.7" (dia. X H) within a compact footprint for medium and long run small parts machining requirements. "Offering amazing productivity for a machine of its size, the Mycenter-HX250iF comes standard with a 2-station automatic pallet changer, offering lightning-quick 1.8 second pallet change rotation with the freedom of a standard full 4th axis rotary table for multi-part tombstone fixturing. With an expansive work envelope and the ability to handle four-sided tombstones up to 15.7" high and 10" wide weighing up to 132 lbs., the Mycenter-HX250iF allows manufacturers to machine multiple workpieces while another tombstone is being unloaded and reloaded with new parts to be machined," said a company spokesperson.

"Designed for maximum accuracy, the Mycenter-HX250iF is unique because it is the only 30 taper machine available that offers a standard 15,000 RPM spindle with fine finish capability and Dual Contact design," said the Kitamura spokesperson. "The Dual Contact design works in tandem with the high-speed spindle providing greater machining rigidity, improved surface finish, higher cutting accuracy and extended cutting tool life."

"For optimum productivity, the Mycenter-HX250iF is equipped standard with high-speed rapids of 1,890 IPM on the X, Y and Z axes. The Mycenter-HX250iF is also capable of high-speed tapping at 6,000 RPM," said the spokesperson.

"The Mycenter-HX250iF comes standard with a 2-station, 180-degree rotating pallet changer system that provides optimum operator convenience while decreasing cycle time. A 40-Tool ATC is standard with a 1.2 second tool-tool change time.

"A full 4th axis rotary table is a standard feature on all Kitamura horizontal machining centers, allowing the customer to machine complex, multi-sided parts without separate operations or special equipment. The table is capable of indexing at 0.7 seconds for 90 degrees (8000 deg/min) rapid feed, enabling positioning at any angle very quickly.

"Horizontal machining requires a user-friendly and responsive control and high speed machining requires the ability to process large amounts of data.  Kitamura combines both in our Kitamura-Fanuc 18iMB control. With standard 1280 meters of memory, 16MB Data Server, HPCC by RISC Control, NURBS Interpolation and Ethernet connection this control is powerful enough to ensure optimum accuracy," said the spokesperson.
