Lincoln Electric has released a new version of its
Outershield Wire Product Catalog. The catalog, which is available free of
charge, profiles Lincoln's full range of Outershield gas-shielded flux-cored
wires for the automatic and semi-automatic welding of mild steel and low alloy
steels.
"Lincoln's Outershield wires are ideal for industries such as offshore, bridge construction, shipbuilding and structural fabrication-all of which rely on gas-shielded flux-cored wire processes," said a Lincoln spokesperson. "The steel fabrication involved these businesses frequently requires a process that allows for excellent mechanical properties, excellent repetitive welds and high deposition rates in out-of-position welding, which Outershield wires specifically addresses."
The catalog details the Outershield series, which includes mild steel flux-cored wires for high deposition, mild steel flux-cored wires for all positions and low alloy flux-cored wires. Following a detailed wire selection guide, Lincoln's catalog showcases each Outershield product, including key benefits, application examples, the recommended welding positions, the shielding gas content and the wire's diameters. It also includes the wire's deposition chemistry and mechanical properties.
