Videojet Acquires Alltec
Videojet Technologies Inc. has announced the acquisition of ALLTEC GmbH, a German-based manufacturer of laser systems for coding and marking.
Videojet is a provider of product identification equipment, including large and small character ink jet printers, thermal transfer printers and laser markers, as well as print and apply and labeling systems. "Alltec's product line and engineering expertise enable Videojet to offer an even broader range of coding options to our customers and deliver even more value and product knowledge to the market place," stated Robert Willett, president of coding and marking for Videojet. Alltec provides a variety of laser markers, including CO2 and Nd:YAG models, which complement the Focus brand laser markers that Videojet currently markets. The addition of the Alltec products to the Videojet family provides customers with products in the two most common small character printing technologies: continuous ink jet and laser printing.
Together, Videojet and Alltec provide a full line of coding and marking products to customers worldwide, said a company spokesperson. "Global technical service and support, efficient administration, improved distribution and customer care, as well as efficient spares management are among the many customer benefits of this partnership. By working together to increase the value of their combined product offerings and reviewing methods of improving performance, Videojet and Alltec are ensuring the quality products and services they have provided in the past are further enhanced and well-suited for the future," the spokesperson explained.

Working together, the two organizations deliver products through a direct and distributor sales forces. Additionally, product development and technology advancements will make progress through the synergies implemented by both companies. Videojet's world headquarters are located in Wood Dale, Illinois, USA. The headquarters of Alltec in Selmsdorf, Germany will be a focus of future investment by Videojet.
