The
Hardinge Group has signed on as a sponsor of JTG Daugherty Racing in the NASCAR
Sprint Cup Series and the NASCAR Nationwide Series. JTG Daugherty Racing, owned
by Tad and Jodi Geschickter along with former NBA All-Star Brad Daugherty, is
headquartered in Harrisburg, NC.
JTG Daugherty Racing includes the following drivers and cars:
Marcos Ambrose: Finished in the top-ten six times in 2007 and ended the year 8th in points:
- Nationwide Series #59 Kingsford Charcoal Ford Fusion
- Sprint Cup Series #47 Little Debbie Ford Fusion
- Sprint Cup Series #21 Little Debbie Ford Fusion
Kelly Bires: Currently 13th in NASCAR's Nationwide Series standings:

Coleman Pressley: Currently ranked 2nd in NASCAR's Whelen All American Series:

Two JTG Daugherty Ford Fusion race cars will be on display in the Hardinge booth at IMTS 2008 in September, along with a stock Ford Fusion. The race cars will be painted in matching colors signifying the company's high-performance and performance-series machines; a standard Ford will be painted gray to signify the company's Standard-series machines.
"This will be a great way to present our spectrum of machines to customers and prospects visiting our booth, tying together the performance capabilities of the cars to our machines," said Paula Ameigh, Director, Marketing & Customer Services. Marcos Ambrose and Kelly Bires will be on hand for autograph signing.
