"With the theme, 'Feed It, Hold It, Cool It and
Move It,' LNS America, Inc. will display the latest technologies in bar feeding,
chip conveying, coolant management and workholding products at IMTS 2008," said
a spokesperson. "Products to be featured in the LNS booth include:
-
Quick Six S2 Bar Feed: The next generation of popular
Quick 6 automatic bar feeds provides quick and easy changeovers of the guide
tube system for greater range and productivity, and increases safety by
eliminating bars of up to 6', 2-3/4" protruding from the back of the lathe,
regardless of the lathe spindle length.
-
Hydrobar Sprint 565 and 552 Automatic Bar
Feeds: These rugged bar feeds use the same rigid beam construction as other
popular Sprint models with all steel, machined parts attached to a heavy-duty
frame. They incorporate the latest in bar feeding technology in highly stable,
compact designs to boost productivity with increased machine spindle RPM and
extended tool life. Sprint 565 accepts bar stock from 1/4" - 2-5/8" (5 mm - 65
mm) and Sprint 552 from 1/4" to 2" (5 mm - 52 mm), both are ideal for fixed or
sliding headstock machines, and operate in both hydrodynamic and hydrostatic
modes.

-
Trytex 08 Bar Loader: Designed for small
diameter, high production applications, this entirely new design allows
faultless loading of bars with diameters between 0.8 and 7 mm. Although it
boasts an incredibly small footprint, Trytex holds 44 bars in its magazine to
maximize productivity. It also comes with such standard features as an advanced
programmable control system, intelligent synchronization, smooth servomotor
operation and a unique fast retraction system.
-
Microfine 3 Chip Conveyor: Ideal for
installations with limited floor space and machines requiring less height for
conveyor installation. This system handles heavy chip loads of mixed or
dedicated materials and filters coolant to 50 microns. Typical applications for
Microfine 3 include Swiss turning, multi axis turning and both vertical and
horizontal machining centers.
-
MicroScraper H: Designed as a compliment to
today's value-priced machining centers, our lowest priced filtering conveyor is
a scraper conveyor with 500-micron coolant filtration. A self-cleaning filter
element and unique, economical design help make this conveyor ideal for aluminum
or any broken chip application.
-
LNS High-Pressure Coolant Systems: Proven
to reduce tool wear, improve cutting accuracy and reduce cycle time, LNS
applications specialists carefully analyze the customer's production situation
and create a system designed to maximize efficiencies.
-
Steady Rest Workholding Systems: LNS custom
designs automatic workholding (steady rest) systems by applying extensive
experience to understanding the customer's manufacturing requirements. With this
knowledge the team utilizes 3-D design capabilities, a broad assortment of
quality steady rest components and the expertise to create and install a
complete system that integrates seamlessly into the machining process."
