GibbsCAM to Exhibit at IMTS 2008

Gibbs and Associates, developer of GibbsCAM, software for programming CNC machine tools, has announced that the company will be at IMTS 2008.

"GibbsCAM will once again be in a prime booth, D-3001, near the entrance to the Controls & CAD/CAM Pavilion in Lakeside Center Hall D," said a spokesperson. "Gibbs and Associates attributes much of the company's success to the key partnerships formed with a number of leading machine tool manufacturers such as MAG Industrial Automation Systems (Fadal Machining Centers), Haas Automation, Renishaw, Matsuura, Daewoo Machine Tools and Mazak.

"With more than 91,000 attendees, IMTS 2006 produced more leads, of higher quality, than any other IMTS in recent history. Based upon sales increases resulting from IMTS 2006, Gibbs reported the largest order rate for the month of September in the company's 22-year history. Gibbs again looks forward to breaking their 2006 record with record sales from IMTS.

GibbsCAM Machine Simulation complements GibbsCAM Cut Part Rendering process simulation functionality, allowing for entire machine tool motion of a CNC program to be validated in an accurate simulation. Machine tool models can be built and setup like the real machine tool, then the CNC program is simulated to validate it prior to running the CNC program on the actual machine tool. Not only does this allow potential programming errors to be visually identified before they become very expensive mistakes out on the shop floor, but program inefficiencies can also be recognized and addressed."
