FEMCO to Exhibit Model BMC-110R2 Horizontal Boring Mill

"FEMCO Inc., specializing in high quality CNC machine tools, offers the highly productive CNC horizontal boring mill model BMC-110R2 for manufacturing large parts for a wide variety of industries. The BMC-110R2 features stress-relieved Meehanite castings for all major components and utilizes induction hardened box ways on all three axes (X,Y,Z). The headstock, column base and cross slides are all lined with turcite providing excellent wear and slip stick characteristics. The BMC-110R2 is equipped with a 60-station automatic tool changer and can be equipped with an optional 90-station tool magazine. The BMC-110R2 is equipped with a large 56.69" x 62.99" worktable with a table load capacity of 13,889 lbs," said a FEMCO spokesperson.

The machine comes standard with a powerful 35 horsepower, 50 taper spindle. A two speed geared head is standard allowing for maximum metal removal during heavy machining operations. The axis travels are 78.74" x 70.87" x 66.93" (XYZ). The spindle diameter is 4.33 inches and its stroke (W axis) is 21.5 inches. Precision glass scales are installed on all three axes for accuracy and repeatability. An external chain type chip conveyor system is designed for fast and efficient chip removal. The BMC-110R2 comes standard with the Fanuc 21iMB CNC control and Fanuc servo drive system. Optional accessories include a through spindle coolant system and a full B axis rotary table with contouring capabilities.
