Erowa Technology to Highlight Erowa Robot Compact

Erowa Technology, a major North American manufacturer of standardized workholding and robotics systems for the machining industry, will unveil its Erowa Robot Compact at the 2008 International Manufacturing Technology Show.

Company Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, Bob Byers, said, "Erowa has always been a leader in bringing efficiency to the shop floor through its line of standardized workholding, and our Erowa Robot Compact takes this to a new level. Used in tandem with our pallets, our robots bring an unprecedented level of streamlining and profitability to any shop's production program."

"The Erowa Robot Compact (ERC) is a much asked-for design, slim enough to fit between two existing machines and serve them both with up to 160 electrodes or small work pieces," said the spokesperson.

Chris Norman, Erowa Technology's Vice-President of Engineering and Technical Support offered, "This machine will move pallets of up to 66 lbs. to and from the machine. Depending on the way the machines are laid out, the transfer unit can swivel to the left, right or in both directions, as required.  Because the ERC has such a small footprint it can easily be inserted between two existing machines and can drastically increase their output of finished materials."

"The use of Erowa workholding, such as our Power Chuck, and the automation of the ERC affords any shop incredible savings on time and energy. Not only does it speed the throughput of work pieces in process, but it enables machines to continue to produce finished parts long after the lights have gone off," said Byers.
