The last few years, MIFCO has been building increasingly larger heat treat and foundry furnaces on a custom basis. In 1998, they introduced approximately 60 new heat treat models to their standard line. These new models are divided into 12 new sizes, each available in 5 different configurations. The largest of the new sizes features a work load area 5 ft. wide by 5 ft. high by 8 ft. deep. Each size can be constructed as a low, medium, or high temperature electric furnace or, a low or high temperature gas fired unit.

Most of these new sizes can be fitted as a car bottom style with various load capacity ratings. Other optional features available include door opening options, inert gas introduction and control, and various types of temperature control and recording.
