IHS Offers the UNIPOWER Solid State Power Supply

The UNIPOWER solid state power supply is a bench-top system that is user friendly for applications such as heating for hardening, forging, tempering, brazing, soldering, bonding, and more. The unitized single module system has a quick-change inductor coil connection that disconnects power as well as cooling water circuits.

Ratings vary with application and duty cycle requirements, however, the system is rated at 5 kilowatts under full duty cycle conditions. For many applications, such as hardening, the output is 10 kilowatts. Cooling requirements vary from 2 to 4 gpm depending on application.

UNIPOWER systems incorporate many features normally found in larger power supplies including features such as; an output isolation transformer, built in tank circuit capacitance, single control board, high speed fuses for fault protection, 0.95 input power factor under all operating conditions, and a ±2% accuracy with ±10% line voltage variance for precise power settings and reliability.

The UNIPOWER power supply is shipped ready to operate. All that is required is 3-phase, 480 volt input power and cooling water supply.

The unit can also be customized to application requirements with the addition of an optional remote meter/operator panel, external heat command input and one of a variety of water-cooling systems.

IHScanners make induction heating convenient and affordable for all heat treaters. This combination vertical scanning system and solid-state power supply is complete with part quenching and recirculating components. It is a dual spindle, 17" vertical travel, with part rotation and multi-function microprocessor-based programmable memory counter. A wide range of power ratings and frequencies are available ranging from 25 to 100 kilowatts and from 25 to 200 kilohertz.

The IHScanner is ideal for heat treating cylindrical parts from .38" to 1.00" diameter and up to 17" in length (15" heat treat length). The power output has a quick change, dual position, inductor coil connection that disconnects power as well as the cooling water circuits.

Cooling requirements vary from 10 to 30 gpm depending on the kilowatt rating selected.

The IHScanner is shipped ready to operate. All that is required is 3-phase, 480 volt input power and cooling water supply.
