Dual
High Temperature/Tempering Furnace from Grieve
The Grieve No. 719 is a 2000¡F dual
high temperature/tempering furnace currently being used for the heat treating of
tool steel. The unit comprises two independent Grieve furnace models:
Model BF-122412 is an electric bench
furnace while Model BF-122012 is an electric bench tempering furnace. Both
furnaces are integrally welded to the steel support frame, which features
channel supports between the two units.
Model BF-122412 has a maximum
temperature of 2000¡F and workspace dimensions of 12" W x 24" D x
12" H. Model BT-122012 has a maximum temperature of 1250¡F and workspace
dimensions of 12" W x 20" D x 12" H. The overall dimensions of
No. 719 measure 40" W x 55" D x 70" H.
Features of Model BF-122412 include: a
gas spring-assisted, manually-operated vertical lift door. The hot side of the
door always faces away from the operator for added safety. Model BF-122012
features a 1/2 hp high temperature, stainless steel recirculating blower with
inlet cone plate and air-cooled lower bearing, as well as a gasketed side-hinged
door. Both furnaces provide a 20KW heat input.
The standard equipment on each of the
furnaces includes: digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset
excess temperature controller, separate heating element control contactors, red
pilot light, on/off heat switch and an interlocked door to turn off heating
elements as door is opened.
All Grieve furnaces are fully factory-tested for performance and safety, prior to shipment.
