Welduction Corporation Develops Induction Hardener for Bolts

Welduction Corporation has developed the Autobolt, a compact, unitized induction hardener for heat treating of bolts. Built on the Ultraheat II platform, the Autobolt includes a 90 kW RF induction power supply, a bus, a channel inductor coil, and a quench barrel assembly.

The Autobolt boasts a compact 40" W x 60" D x 54" H footprint. Customers will enjoy an 85% efficiency from the machine's built-in solid state RF power unit. A rugged FET inverter with an output isolation transformer assures reliability.

The Autobolt can process part lengths as small as 14mm (0.55") and diameters from 6mm to 12mm at the rate of two to six parts per second.

The Autobolt also features an optional smart automation module (SAM¨) able to convey parts through the hardening process. Part rotation and part length detection are available as options.
