possible to grind specialty surgical rasps with custom-made grinding programs.
With the flexibility of G&M codes, the operator can write a program that will allow for unattended operation of a non-round part such as a rasp, by using the Renishaw probe to locate and adjust the blank. The 620XS also features a steadyrest for support during the fluting process to avoid deflection. All of these features combine to result in consistent and precise grinding, the company said.
Also available as an option is an online dressing station for dressing or regenerating superabrasive or standard abrasive wheels.
