Fagor Automation has announced the introduction of
a new Grinder CNC Control to their line of CNC Controls. The Fagor CNC 8055 T-G
is designed to simplify ID & OD Grinding operations. The Grinding cycles are
created within a conversational format intended to allow for ease of
programming, even for CNC Novices.
"These conversational programming screens allow the user to simply enter part dimensions into the data windows while utilizing the graphical example for extremely fast and efficient error proof program creation," said a company spokesperson. "Selection of automatic canned cycles are left to the customers needs, thus providing a lean solution." Cycles offered include facing cycles, internal linear cycles, internal multi-plunge cycles, internal passing cycles, internal swing cycles, multi-plunge + passing cycles, passing cycles, plunge with swing cycles, straight plunge cycles and dressing cycles plus several surface grinding cycles.
In addition, part zero offset, diamond offset and taper rate correction screens are made conversational utilizing graphic examples for easy data entry, the company said. These screens are included with all grinder controls
Solid Graphics is offered free of charge with all grinding controls. Solid Graphics allows the operator to define the existing part stock dimensions, thus during cutting in either execution or simulation mode, the operator can visually see the stock ground to the finished part dimensions in a solid graphic representation. Conventional Tool Path Graphics is also included.
