The American Machine Tool Distributor's Association (AMTDA) has awarded six individuals the Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer (CMTSE) designation. The CMTSE program is the only national professional certification program for machine tool sales engineers. More than 521 builder and distributor organizations from throughout the United States and Canada participate in the CMTSE program.
The six new CMTSEs are:
Robert Byrnes, IEMCA, Bucci Industries.
Robert H. Morse, Sales Engineer, Crotts & Saunders Engineering, Inc.
Alan M. Pfister, Regional Sales Manager, Enshu USA Corporation.
Matthew A. Roberts, Sales Engineer, Crotts & Saunders, Inc.
Brian J. Wescott, Sales Engineer, Machine Tool Technologies, Inc. (MAC-TECH).
James B. Surpless, Jr., Surpless, Dunn & Co.
The Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer program acknowledges individuals who have achieved a demonstrated level of competency in machine tool sales via a combination of professional experience, education and successfully passing a standardized, nationwide exam.
The industry recognized CMTSE credential acknowledges these individuals who possess the technical, sales and business expertise necessary to provide customers with customized manufacturing and business solutions. To maintain their professional credential, all CMTSEs must pursue periodic recertification. This process requires documenting and reporting their participation in a variety of professional development activities designed to keep them current in the latest business strategies and innovations in machine tool technologies.
The CMTSE program is supported by AMT - The Association for Manufacturing Technology, the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA), the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), the Machinery Dealers' National Association (MDNA) and the Canadian Machine Tool Distributors' Association (CMTDA).
