Robo Cylinder line, the RSW/RMW Series, is dust-proof and water-proof.
RCP2-RSW/RMW Robo Cylinders are rated IP65 according to the IEC international classification system for the sealing effectiveness of electrical equipment against the intrusion of foreign objects and moisture. This rating confirms the Series' resistance to water seepage when exposed to water jets from any direction. A company spokesperson stated, "The RCP2-RSW/RMW earned the highest maximum rating for its protection against foreign objects, and is proven completely dust-tight."
To meet varying application requirements, IAI offers a choice of two widths for the Robo Cylinder. The RCP2-RSW is 45mm wide with a load capacity of 40kg (horizontal) / 19kg (vertical). The RCP2-RMW is 64mm wide with a load capacity of 55kg (horizontal) / 26kg (vertical). Both have strokes from 50 - 300mm.
IAI's RCP2 Series Robo Cylinders are electric actuators featuring a ballscrew, a linear guide and a stepper motor. Operation advantages include reduced noise, and improved ease of use and maintenance. For precision and easy operation, RCP2 controllers perform up to 64-point positioning and enable complex movements. Speeds can be changed during slider/rod movement; positioning repeatability is held to ±0.02mm. IAI's compact controller 35(W) x 163(H) x 68.1(D) also saves installation space.
The RCP2 Series, and all IAI Robo Cylinders, cost 67% less to operate. Because the Robo Cylinder is an electric actuator, relative power consumption is about 1/3.
The RCP2 line was developed based on IAI's Total Cost Approach. The spokesperson stated, "The company's efficient production facility and low inventory reduce costs from manufacturing to delivery."
